From a small idea to a global sustainable brand, explore the key milestones that have shaped Ecofy's story.
Ecofy was founded by Maria Larsen and Thomas Nielsen in Copenhagen...
Established our first partnerships with three artisan communities...
We're driven by a commitment to sustainability, artisan empowerment, and creating products that celebrate both tradition and innovation.
We believe in creating products that don't compromise our planet's future. Every Ecofy item is made from biodegradable jute fiber, processed using eco-friendly methods that minimize water usage and eliminate harmful chemicals.
Our carbon-negative approach means we offset more carbon than we produce, through tree planting initiatives and renewable energy investments in our production facilities.
We partner directly with artisan communities, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable livelihoods. Over 80% of our artisans are women, many of whom are the primary breadwinners for their families.
Through skills training and education programs, we help preserve traditional crafting techniques while empowering artisans to innovate and grow their capabilities.
